Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for any type of work or school schedule. We run groups 7 days a week morning, afternoon, and evening. IOP is designed to be the last step in the recovery continuum prior to individual outpatient appointments. At this level of care, clients are expected to have been clean from substances (generally at least 30 days) to participate. If you are still actively using substances, you most likely will require a higher level of care, such as detoxification or residential treatment. A client who may have some clean time (i.e. a few days) would probably be more appropriate for our PHP program. However, you do not have to fret over which level of care you require. At Valley Recovery Center of California, we provide all levels of care and will conduct a comprehensive, free initial intake to determine what level of care would be best for you.
Once you admit to the IOP level of care, you become part of a community where everyone is welcoming and accepting. The support that is received at IOP goes beyond traditional AA groups with Master’s level therapists leading educational sessions that provide real insight as to why addiction is so challenging and how you can tailor your own behaviors, emotions, and cognitions to most effectively prevent relapse. Skills building is just one part of what you will learn at IOP. Supportive therapy, and peer support, will provide you with people who understand your struggles and can assist in processing the emotions associated with those struggles. As we know, addiction can be a very isolating experience and one of the best ways to combat addiction is to interact positively with others. Our IOP group will facilitate that is a way that is comfortable and promotes healing.
